Occupational Health &
Safety Reports

Health and safety is a high priority in any setting, but especially in multi dwelling properties where there is the potential for so many things to go wrong.  It is the responsibility of an owners corporation (OC) to ensure that its buildings are safe not only for anyone who undertakes works at the premises, but for their owners, tenants and visitors alike.

IN 2019, AN AMENDMENT WAS INTRODUCED TO THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 2004 VIA THE WORKPLACE SAFETY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT (WORKPLACE MANSLAUGHTER AND OTHER MATTERS) BILL 2019. UNDER THIS LEGISLATION, OCS FACE UP TO A $16.6 MILLION PENALTY SHOULD A NEGLIGENT INCIDENT OCCUR ON THEIR PROPERTY.

This alone is a huge reminder to remain compliant and not become complacent. Statistics show that all forms of accidents are preventable if the correct measures and duty of care are taken.

CompliancyCo. can simplify your OC responsibilities by identifying hazards that may cause harm or damage in the future.

As part of their OH&S reports, the team performs a thorough site inspection and assessment of common property, looking out for hazards such as exposed wiring, uneven surfaces, cracked ceilings, gas and water leaks.

This information is then compiled into an easy to read document, along with photographic evidence, related commentary and recommendations for each item noted.

The report can be used by the OC to determine areas that require immediate rectification and any other areas that require continued maintenance or monitoring to limit potential safety hazards within the common area.

CompliancyCo. can also advise on COVID safe practices and measures that your building can implement to ensure it is compliant.
